Gemini CLI
Google's open-source (Apache-2.0) terminal agent for Gemini models, an early ACP agent. Now superseded by Antigravity CLI for most users; the README says it is not optimized for Gemini 4.
Still releasing (v0.65.0 on 2026-10-20), but Google announced on 2026-05-19 that Gemini CLI is transitioning to the closed Antigravity CLI; free, Google AI Pro/Ultra users lost access 2026-06-18. Only paid API-key and Code Assist Standard/Enterprise users remain. Monthly commits fell from 336 (Apr 2026) to ~50 (Jul-Sep 2026). (checked 2026-10-25)
