AI can help you build everything but consensus.
Poll Position maps communities of builders working on the same kind of thing: what they agree on, what they argue about, and where each project stands. Before you build, see who's already nearby.

How these maps are made
Each community's projects were found in public sources, then each project was answered against the community's poll from its own docs, README, license, and release pages, with a source for every answer. See any project page for its sources and the date they were read.
Use it with Claude
Poll Position is an MCP server, so Claude can look up your project's communities while you work: which ones it belongs to, what they agree on, where you'd stand apart, and the nearest projects.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http pollposition https://pollposition.dev/mcp
Then, in a project, ask something like: "Look before I build: which communities is this project in, and where does it stand?" Claude drafts your answers to each community's poll from your code and asks you to confirm them.
Claude on the web and desktop
Add a custom connector in Claude's settings, with this URL:
https://pollposition.dev/mcp
Any other MCP client
Point it at the same URL. It uses streamable HTTP and needs no account.
The tools are read-only and nothing you send is stored. Claude sends a short, general description of your project, not your code, and can place you without sending your answers at all. A Claude Code plugin that does this automatically when you start something new is coming.
